PREPARING YOU FOR THE ROAD AHEAD
ABOUT OUR ORIENTATION
When you become a member of our team, we want you to be prepared for the road ahead. Therefore, we accomplish this by having all new hires take a two day orientation class at our main location in South Sioux City, NE. During this time, you will become familiar with our trucks and reefer units, meet our office staff, meet your assigned dispatcher and receive your assigned truck.
Day One
K&B orientation day one consists of driver qualifications, including a road test, drug test, DOT physical, as well as completion of the driver qualification file. Once completed the rest of the day is devoted to class time.
Day Two
On day two, K&B orientation is focused primarily on class time, with education on company policies and procedures. The latter part of the afternoon is devoted to tractor assignment and inspection, as well as meeting face to face with your assigned dispatcher.
ORIENTATION FACILITIES
We are dedicated to our drivers and their learning. Which is why we constructed a building specifically dedicated to serving the needs of our new and current drivers. Located just down the street from our corporate office, our secondary building houses our recruiting department, safety/logs department, driver classroom and a hands on learning center with full sized tractor and reefer unit.

Orientation is typically two days ending with you receiving your truck on day two.
All new hires need to bring the following to orientation:
- Drivers License
- Social Security Card
- A ten year work history
- Clothing and bedding for your bunk
- A blank check (if you wish to have direct deposit)
- Full names, Social Security Numbers, and date of births of any family members going on our group insurance plan
During orientation, K&B provides lodging and breakfast and lunch during both days.
K&B will pay for you to either fly or take a bus to get up to our main location in South Sioux City.
Drivers are shuttled by K&B to and from orientation. The shuttle arrives at the hotel at 6:15 AM.
We offer orientation classes twice a week, starting on Monday and Thursday.
